Data-driven strategic insights company CBInsights has opened up submissions for it’s next big list: The top 100 private AI companies in the world. If you run an AI startup, or know someone who does, now’s your chance to get in one a little (potential) free publicity.
The Form
Here’s the link to a quick submission form for the list that CBInsights calls the “ranking of the 100 most promising private artificial intelligence companies globally.” Applications for this first round close on 11/3/16, so get yours in now.
The winners will be announced January 10, at The Innovation Summit hosted in Santa Barbara, CA.
CBInsight’s past work may throw a little light on what they’re looking for. One market map, for example, covered over 60 startups across a variety of sectors, all of which relied on deep learning processes for their business. Here’s a look at the open AI businesses highlighted there:
“Startups here are developing algorithms that can be applied across multiple industries like finance, healthcare, and e-commerce. To name a few, Japan-based LeapMind raised $3.4M from Archetype Ventures, ITOCHU Technology Ventures, and Visionnaire Ventures in Q3’16; Teradeep, a neural network startup that “accelerates” deep learning via field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) — integrated circuits that can be programmed for customer-specific applications — received funding in Q1’16 from the corporate venture arm of XILINX.”
Those on the top 100 private AI companies list will be chosen, the company says, based on two factors: “their Mosaic scores and their responses to interviews/questions posed by CB Insights’ industry analysts.” Once again, the deadline’s in a little over a week, so get your form filled out now.
