In earnest, there aren’t a lot of good reason to choose MagicJack from a business standpoint. Yes, the price is a tad lower than competitors, but this is a classic “you get what you pay for” situation.
For one, MagicJack offers far fewer features (2.1/5) and external connections (1.1/5) than the majority of providers, scoring the lowest of any service in our research in both categories. On top of that, it provides virtually no security (1/5), meager customer support (2.1/5), and poor scalable potential (1.7/5).
Even worse, customers don’t tend to love Magic Jack either, netting it a customer score of only 1.7/5, again our lowest score across our research. The only situation in which we’d recommend MagicJack is if you’re an extremely small business that needs to cut cost as much as possible and only need unlimited domestic and international minutes.
