Yes, one of the world’s most popular video chat apps comes with a free version! You’ll be able to host up to 100 participants, with gallery view, screen share, and waiting room functionality included. Plus, you’ll get unlimited 1-to-1 meetings.
However, the Zoom One free plan has some pretty serious limitations. For one, calls with multiple users are limited to only 40 minutes, which sometimes just isn’t enough, and you’ll miss out on a wide range of helpful business features, like reporting, admin feature control, and user management. On top of this, Zoom’s VoIP product, Zoom Phone, is also only available on the Zoom One Business Plus and Enterprise plans.

RingCentral offers a free plan called Video Pro that allows for unlimited meetings and up to 100 participants in a meeting. You can easily join in the browser and it allows for cloud storage recording for up to seven days, which probably isn’t long enough for the average business, but it would allow you to test out the service a bit before you make a financial commitment.
The RingCentral Video Pro plan integrates with Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365, and there is no time limit on how long you can use this service.
Microsoft Teams
Once Microsoft acquired Skype, the Skype for Business tool went by the wayside and was replaced by Microsoft Teams, a free collaboration tool aimed at providing users with document sharing, chat, and yes, video conferencing capabilities. You’ll have access to screen sharing and customized backgrounds, as well as Microsoft’s easy to use interface. Microsoft Teams updates are extremely common too, as the provider frequently adds new features that align with customer feedback.
Still, Microsoft Teams does lack some of the Microsoft 365 functionality, like meeting recordings and guest access, so you might want to shell out the big bucks if you’re looking to get a more complete collaboration tool for your business.
FreeConference
